Communication Infrastructure Wolfsburg
Wolfsburg AG will build up a specially configured WLAN for eMobilitiy applications. This will be available from Summer 2013 until the end of the project, presumably end of 2015. Wolfsburg AG will also provide the administration of the network during the project. Existing infrastructure will be integrated into the project and adapted to requirements of eMobility regarding hardware and software.
Examples of services which can use this infrastructure:
- AAA: Authentication, Authorization and Accounting as a major component of the total emobility business system
- Additional services for administration and maintenance of electric vehicles and fleets
- Internet access for drivers of electric vehicles during charging
- Alternative access to internet while driving in areas where access through 3G is not available or congested
- Information and booking systems for multimodal usage
